Mom was a very free-spirited BC west coast hippie type (think backpacking across Canada to attend Woodstock with her toddler type)

For Christmas? I got one of those suitcase record players with the following albums.
-Elton John’s Greatest Hits
-Neil Diamond Gold
-Alice Cooper Welcome to my Nightmare
-Iron Butterfly Inna Gadda Davida
-Kiss (debut album with their faces and KISS in diamonds on the cover)

You want to talk about imprint music. I didn’t even hear country music until I was almost a teenager.

I have an appreciation for all types of music, but those albums have stuck with me forever.

Btw, I still have them all, the originals. Unfortunately I don’t have a turntable to play them on anymore. Hmm.
