Thanks for the post BeTheGoddess, don't know how true it is but remember reading the investigation for the FBI back then wasn't very 'thorough' and they stayed in their cars most of the time because they didn't want to get their shoes muddy.
Despite their opinions many of the submitted police reports on the FBI site really do make for some fascinating reading and it's also interesting that you bring up the 'Department Of Interior' because their name tends to pop up a lot in Sasquatch incidents.
Came across this freaky French horse case a while back as described in Dr Jacques Vallee's 1965 book 'Anatomy of a Phenomenon' and it really does sound a bit of a strange one.
