Mississippi (the poorest US state) edged ahead of the UK in nominal per capita GDP

Every state has its own gaurd units, that's in addition to the regular branches of the armed forces.

Mississippi is a beautiful state and the people are absolutely hard-working, salt of the earth. The casino areas can be skeevy, but it's nothing like Louisiana.

There are places all over Mississippi I could easily afford to live.

Leprechauns and a false equivalence?

So... out of curiosity, how would YOU re-rank the top 8 in total murders to order them "most to least likely?"

Like what could you do to make up for the skewed population driven data and make it a fair rate comparison?

USA belongs at the bottom. How do you get it there?

• Brazil - 44,127 homicides
• South Africa - 27,621 homicides
• Mexico - 25,469 homicides
• United States - 16,940 homicides
• Colombia - 13,341 homicides
• Russia  -11,327 homicides
• Haiti - 7,302 homicides
• Ecuador - 6,986 homicides

And I know something that makes population irrelevant was done to compare the nominal GDP per capita of Mississippi (2.95 M) and The UK (68 M)...

You didnt like my leprechaun economics joke? I thought it was pretty funny. What I think is simple: I think comparing a country with 69 million population to one with 359 or so million doesn't work. Thats all. Whether America is on the top or the bottom in any category, you are the one caring about that not I. I already answered your question in my last post.

Allow me to requote myself "I still feel it doesnt do any good to compare the U.S. to the UK because of population difference the U.S. has 5x the population"

So I guess in my opinion multiply UK by 5 and redo it and maybe it would look more accurate to me.

I wouldn't say the U.S. belongs on the bottom, its place is its place wherever it is. I'd feel no different no matter its place.

And the thread!!

The thread set the rules.
Quote:Nominal per capita GDP is calculated by dividing a country’s total gross domestic product (GDP) at current prices by its total population,

So pretty much any comparitive metric that divides a total by a population is a valid counter-argument.

Where do you stand on comparing Mississippi (2.95 million) and the UK (68 million)?

To same veracity you can point out MS has a higher per capita GDP you can point out all the (population adjusted) ways the UK kicks Mississippi's ass.

I dont think it works that way.

But it can if you believe it can!

Are you even trying? A little or any?

I feel the amount of thought being put into this has the disparity of about 22 times Mississippi's population.

Not really Im watching "My Hero Academia" I do want to know where you are getting these nominal GDP averages from though so I can see how they're averaging them

Then again, if that were true, one has to ponder the state your own nation is in?

The complete and utter polarisation of your people, that's abundant in spades.

Or the fact that a significant percentage of your population cannot afford to own, rent, eat properly, or pay for medical insurance.

Cream of the crop indeed, I mean, there can be no doubt...

Well that's not exactly suprising given that UK as a business is a complete Titanic sinking ship. Until the idiots in power learn to balance the books and get the youth coaxed into doing a days work then we willcontinue to sink, attracting a massive invasion of illegal immigrants who are attracted to the jobs our lazy good for nothing native youth won't get off their fat Home Bargains trolley pushing disibilty Mobility Huyndais anxiety backsides and do the jobs natives used to do and earn a living instead of expecting the other half of the population to pay for their lifestyles meaning companies rely on migrant labour and the bagge (females wives wholl never work but go on the same fat Home Bargains trolley pushing disibilty Mobility Huyndais anxiety backsides lazy baztrsds It's the youth that are letting our nation fall apart. And Starmer and his commies who are in with big PLC in destroying British industry with the benefits unsustainable leading to industrial re location to the east even France!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No good can come of it then throw in the most highest energy costs on planet Earth. This nation is screwed but we knew that in 1922. It's over.

Here is the kicker through Orby.

If the nation is completely screwed and has been since 1922.

Why do we have problems with the likes of, and as you say, "a massive invasion of illegal immigrants?"

Immigrants built this nation, as any history book clearly shows.

And not all young people are "lazy good for nothings."

My daughter is 19, currently in a third year university course, whilst employed and holding down a childcare job, the other 4 days out of the working week.

And she's hardly special.

She wants to be a teacher or university lecturer.

The problem with the UK is the fact that they don't pay a proper living wage in line with the cost of living or inflation imho.

It's the disproportionate manner in which wealth is distributed across the land thats is the problem, not the people...

Hats off to your daughter Andy. Fair doos and she's out there earning some dough. Actually doing something with her life. But there's too many youngsters not interested in working for a living, they have no prides anymore, yet expect others to strive to create wealth that theuy then steal as benefits. I'm sorry on this one but its a fact that a good segment of our youth are completely bone idle work shy good for nothing lazy slobs who expect handouts from others rather than doing their bit. Sure the cost of living is always a problem, but you go out and work extra, I've always been on around minimum wage but that's the area I'm in and worked many many hours, one year did 362 days of work had three days off, just to get on the ladder to putting savings in the bank rather than just making a living. One has to put their back into this economic system as is your daughter to make things work or train, I'm sorry it's just a fact that there is a good segment of our population who will be rolling up around the corner at Home Bargains in their 26 plate Hyundais (nice SUV's for sure) then will lower slowly their enormous fat bodys out of the vehicle, hobble over in their trackies to the trollies, drag these round the isles so slowly (as they have no reason to move fast) filling the trollys with masses of food and booze, then stand in the quee complaing about the 'foreigners' who are flooding in, largely because those same fat lazy good for nothing work sky trolly pushings slobs are too bone idle to do their bit. I coild go on benefits with the heart and liver issues but I stick with work mate, I was bought up that way. Plus like it. All these bone idle types are swinging the lead at the expencxe of the taxpayer and long term no good can come of it. Starmer and the commies won't do jack as that's his voter along ironically with the ethnics / immigrants. and the sh8t show goes on  Lol
