Police are finding alleged motorcycle thieves duct taped to lamp posts with thief written on their foreheads. Half of the state are calling him/them heroes, the other half are saying vigilantes. What are y'all thinking?

I think it would take more than one guy to do that. Especially two on one pole.

More of a justice league than an individual hero.

The people are fed up with no help form the police.

I don’t even know what to say. It’s inevitable that these things happen when the police are not doing enough to stop the crime and won’t get involved.

It’s hilarious that the “victims” are not talking.

This type of thing is happening to the thieves on motorcycles who do the snatch and grab thievery as well. People are just running them over.

I suppose it depends on the definition, but seeing they (it's most likely a group) are just "offering" them to the police and not going further than that, I suppose they are doing it the best way.

PS: many years ago, a work colleague had her car broken into to steal the car radio. When they complained to the police they asked them if they knew who had done it, and as they answered that they did (everybody in that area knew who was robbing the radios), the police "suggested" they joined a group of people to catch him and give him a beating.
Sometimes the alternative ways are the best, and they are always faster.
