Location Of The Garden Of Eden
#1
After much study I have to conclude the biblical Eden is not and never was on this Earth. The fact that the tree of life is in the same place in Genesis and also is in Revelation after all creation is destroyed confirms this. Further yet, the book of Enoch also places this "tree" in the heavenly realm. It seems the majority of churches are lying to their members. This brings into the question the original nature of man before the fall. There is a lot of puzzle pieces that can be put together when this is realized. Take note that the four rivers in Genesis are actually the foundations of all creation . They are the four chief angels Michael, Gabriel, Uriel, and Raphael. Upon them the great expanse rests. They have armies under them, these are the eyes in the wheels. The sea or expanse has four quadrants.

No, not necessarily. Not here. When I was in my primary school, I was taught right in the beginning that Adam and Eve didn't really exist and that the whole Genesis book together with Eden story is an allegory. And we were told about it by a priest. Nobody sane will take the Genesis literally, at least in Europe literal interpretation of the Bible is rare.

It's just a creation myth.
A lot of the Old Testament can't be taken literally.

Are we going to discuss the colony spaceship, commonly known as Noah's Ark?

Was it from Mars or some other place 40 days away?
Does anyone know the minimum safe distance of ignorance?
Did anyone ask the monkeys how much fun the barrel actually was?

I've also heard Noah lived for 1,000 years.  What happened since then giving that we rarely make 100?  Maybe we are some sort of genetic experiment and the Garden was just really a test lab somewhere.

There may have been several gardens of Eden located all over some ancient empire.

I have posted my speculative hypothesis in its own thread.

I mean really, if we are to believe that the writings of Genesis (1-11) are allegorical and are solely meant to interpret or reveal a story or moral meaning, the scribes sure did a poor job because it just doesn't make sense in many ways. There are people who take the Bible literally and others do not.

As for finding the Garden of Eden, scholars have speculated where it may be:

AI:
"Location Theories:
  • Mesopotamia: Many scholars believe the Garden of Eden was located in Mesopotamia, the area between the Tigris and Euphrates rivers, particularly at the head of the Persian Gulf.
  • Other Probes: Other theories include Armenia, the Czech Republic, and even the entire Fertile Crescent.
  • Inside the Earth: Some theories, like those explored in "The UnXplained," suggest the Garden of Eden might be found inside the Earth.

I have read Cryptonomicon and played Assassin's Creed, therefore I am expert on these subjects.

Perhaps the people whom it was for know in their bones what it means?
