It's called "diplomacy". Closer ties to Qatar leads to us having more influence with them, and being able to steer them in ways that we want.
Your thread is titled, "Let's talk.."
That's what I assumed this was -- a discussion
But I guess when someone comes in with an oppositional viewpoint, it's automatic screaming
And I suppose that "diplomatic influence" could never work the other way around. Especially with a 400 mil jet on the line. Or a 5 bil luxury resort. Or a trillion dollar crypto deal

No, when someone comes in and ignores inconvenient information and uses AI to answer questions not asked, to solely focus on the corruption of one man it’s screaming. You immediately jumped to “Trump is corrupt!” and only has irrelevant deals to back it up, as being some kind of quid pro quo for this. That’s not a discussion.

How are his deals irrelevant

The question was what military construction or pilot training companies does he have that would benefit from this agreement, which again was mostly completed under the Biden Administration. And you replied with an AI list of unrelated deals and agreements.

Please...
The thread isn't about "his" deal... even though they fail to make that point evidently...
This isn't about "him" except his administration was left with the commitment to execute it.

It's actually not irrelevant when we're talking about personal business dealings with a country, and in particular, a monarchy that doesn't adhere to the checks and balances that Democratic systems have in place to ensure accountability and prevent the misuse of power. Especially when that country is accused of funding terrorism.
It's called Conflict of Interest
Using AI to create a list isn't a big deal. It's just a quicker way to aggregate information which can easily be verified. You better get used to it

There is also the fact that Qatar is essentially totally flat, whereas countries their armed forces may be concerned with operating in—such as Yemen, Iran, and Oman—are significantly mountainous. This cooperation may provide them a training environment in Idaho that is otherwise unavailable to them.
Thanks for this thread Z and for being level-headed.

This would make sense if it was just another smear from the liberal media but a number of Trump's followers aren't happy about it, either

Very likely because they are unaware of the long list of foreign nations who have successfully accomplished what Qatar is now looking to do in CONUS. Most of the raised hackles will vanish once people have an opportunity to do a little homework and realize that this sort of arrangement is in no way unprecedented and is, in fact, just the latest example of a fairly routine practice. It’s only news because it gives people another opportunity to keep screaming in their respective political echo chambers. Folks do dearly love to hear others agree with what they think, basis in reality be damned.
People are too easily steered by headlines and uninformed pundits who establish “fact” by simply repeating the headlines and doing nothing further to actually learn how any of this works in the real world. No one clicks on boring headlines.
”Trump administration finalizes Quatari Air Force training program initiated and endorsed by Biden administration” doesn’t induce nearly as much righteous indignation as implying that, once again, Trump has single handedly violated the natural order for his own benefit.
Truth be told, opening a McDonalds in Albania would have more of an impact on foreign relations than Quatar setting up shop inside the US to learn how to operate and support their F-15s.

This is true
As witnessed right here in this forum where criticism of Trump is met with snide derision and calls to "stop". If I were to list all of the Clinton's pay to play schemes, or Obama's, it would be considered discussion. Put Trump in the same context, now it's "screaming" about my favorite villain.
Bottom line is, Trump is corrupt. He is advantageously enriching himself from his position just like Democrats do. But you're ok with it because he claims to hate liberals, even though he "used to" be one.
