"Intelligence" is quite subjective. I could see how, in a clinical setting, self-assured pseudo-intellectuals would rush to proclaim themselves superior. It fits their whole need-for-approval psyche.
Common-sense and practical skills are the venue of the "common man", to be sure. ![]() I wouldn't go bashing the MAGA Founders who drafted the Declaration of Independence and US Constitution either. ![]() File in the same category as Fake News and Fake Polls

Isn't my insecurity reason enough to dismiss my concerns, rather than address them?
If I'm insecure, perhaps it's because I have some excuse to feel threatened by social labels which are bandied about like merit badges. If I'm frank, it may be because high IQ people make the most severe bullies I have ever had to work with... and the least likely to admit high-IQ doesn't solve all problems, and sometimes doesn't serve all situations. People are different, even high-IQ people... some are fine, some are not so fine. I offer only that 'statistics' do not represent knowledge, they represents certainty between outcomes looked for. If it can be said intelligent leads to picking an ideology, and there is a 'science' voice behind it... you can be sure that the fact will be "used" to further the ideology... never mind any element of the ideology itself. Every time anyone has proposed that it's innately intelligent to be a [fill in the blank] it seems a blind-spot forms... or a cloister is born, if there are a bunch of equally 'difference-obsessed' people clustered. I sure it's just all too complicated for me to understand... don't waste your time, eh? ![]() No seriously, not intending to provoke (as if I could)... but how is it that 'the capacity for reason' is 'programmed' into DNA? And if not a manifestation of evolutionary imperative... how would humans "evolve" into ... what is it now?... liberalism, progressiveness? How is high-IQ a matter of 'social' ideology...

At the time of the drafting of the Declaration of Independence, the USA didn't yet exist, in fact, it wasn't until 5 years later that it was ratified that (some of) the States were confederated into a nation. It isn't possible that the Floundering Fathers were all gung-ho about a country that didn't exist yet, let alone calling for making it great AGAIN. Thank you for demonstration of yet another real-world example of MAGA's level of 'intelligence'.

Usually their achievements and the sparkling wonder of their ideas speak for themselves.
