Could it be because of the revenue stream he brings in?

They simply had a contract to fulfill or eat the cost.  See if it gets renewed next year.  I’m guessing it’s going to be a hard sale if the affiliates don’t want to carry the show.

Good news for the Kimmel ball washers, last nights YouTube video is at about 7,000,000 views so far.
Best he ever did.

Bad news?
The bad news is his previous videos only average about 240,000 views.
Imagine having 21,000,000 subscribers and only 240,000 are watching.
That’s why he’ll be lucky to even make it to May.

If Kimmel cared about “freedom of speech” ....

If Kimmel cared about 'freedom of speech' he would have been having a meltdown fit during the Biden years when thousands of conservatives were silenced online and on TV .... when the Biden Administration put pressure on TV and internet to cut conservative voices, and they did.   If Kimmel cared about 'freedom of speech' he wouldn't have applauded when Rosanne was censored and taken off the air for what she said.  

He doesn't care about 'freedom of speech'.   
He is playing the victim, something the left sucks up and buys into.
