Didn't watch.   From the news reports he shed some fake tears and failed to admit that he lied.   A bunch of lemmings and curious people tuned in to see what he'd say.   Expect the viewer numbers to taper off back to their dismal ratings after a week or so.

Well, since you don't usually watch the show, i don't imagine it matters much or that's any great loss.

Anyhoo, Jimmy was great, especially when he pulled out the fake Disney apology note, which alluded to how to resubscribe to Disney +  Saint2

As to viewer numbers, 20 million YouTube subscribers and counting.

Nope.  I'm sure no one gives a flying crap.
I was making a statement as part of the conversation here for full disclosure.
That situation ... I didn't watch, but based on the reports I have such and such an opinion ...

Yeah, as predicted a bunch of people who are curious and who think they are giving a giant 'F U' to Disney will tune in for a week or so, but then life will get back to normal and the late night shows will continue failing.   That's been my prediction.
Well, I haven't watched late night TV talk shows since over 20 years ago, when I might have tuned in to Fallon or Leno or whatever was on back then.  Over the past several years, especially since the COVID fiasco, I have definitely fallen out of love with television.  I was never really that into it to begin with.  I am anti-mainstream, for the most part.

However, I have paid attention to this Kimmel situation, and I actually downloaded a copy of the new return of his show from last night, and I am watching it.  It's a part of television history.  And it was a great monologue, and Kimmel was very emotional and respectful to the Charlie Kirk tragedy, and made it clear that he was never trying to make light of that at all.  I think anyone who has been posting about this situation should at least take the time to watch the YouTube video of the return episode.  I think it's worthwhile...

Traditional TV will continue to fail as people move to other relevant platforms, and entropy takes the elderly.

The new normal is streaming platforms and social media.

The world spun, and those services are not failing.

As to predictions, well in this crazy world, who the hell knows what's apt to happen next?

Well, we have cable and are fine with it.
Don't have streaming.  Don't know how it works.
Don't want to spend any more money than we already do.
I guess we are old.

Again, nobody is forcing you to watch, freedom of speech, expression, and all that jazz.

But good luck with the profanity.

I don't think Jimmy uses such language, at least not on Dysmey+.

Everyone gets their opinion, again, that's what freedom of speech is all about.  Saint2

Happens to us all.

I turned 50 this year, and I'm beginning to feel it.

I hear you were the money is concerned, one subscription here, another one there, bloody murder on the old wallet and bank accounts.

You dont need to pay for the likes of YouTube(most of it), all the same, as long as you don't mind some adverts.
