Didn't watch.   From the news reports he shed some fake tears and failed to admit that he lied.   A bunch of lemmings and curious people tuned in to see what he'd say.   Expect the viewer numbers to taper off back to their dismal ratings after a week or so.

I was a bit surprise that the liveview numbers were still so strong, actually. I'd expected lower in this day and age. Although the 45+ demo skew is pretty much what I expected. Truer numbers cost more money, so I wouldn't expect to see objective accuracy, not like I would expect that from the Post anyway. Also interesting to see some outlets touting Google search trends for "what time is kimmel on" as some sort of indication of strength, rather than an indication that liveview tv is an anachronistic vestige that requires controversy to even be tangentially relevant to the young.

YouTube is a good measurement, and 21+ million subscribers certainly suggest his popularity.

Especially where young people are concerned, because it's the first thing they do when they turn on the smart TV.

Like I posted earlier, all broadcast TV is dying and all numbers are falling, that's a fact you can't seem to except? His youtube channel has over 20 million followers, in his time slot he and Colbert swap the top spot regularly.

Also you may want to check for anger issues as I'm sure insulting a Mod gets you 'massive' respect here!!
