Investigators did DNA analysis and identified the bird remains as Baikal Teal remains. They're small ducks, weighing about a pound each. They migrate to Korea for the winter from the Siberia region. The next step for investigators is to tear down the engines, and do an in depth examination of both engines and components, the FDR/CVR data, ATC data, the localizer embankments, and bird strike evidence.
