The media continues wrongly to evoke a sense of "retaliation" and "provocation."
When in reality, this is war.
Such theatrical components do nothing to reflect the actual reality of war.
War is not about revenge... it's not about 'safety.' It's not even about 'dominance.'
War is about war.
It's much like fire. It exists for its own sake, it persist for its own sake. Until it consumes everything that can burn.

There were three waves of attacks, in three provinces. The first appeared to be a SEAD strike. Later strikes hit drone and missile production facilities. Iran has said they reserve the right for a “proportional retaliation”, but is pushing the business as usual narrative in local media.
Edit- It appears that they got multiple S300 and the new S400 radars in the first wave.
Logic is dead. Long live BS.

Not nearly as robust of an attack as I would have expected. Iran, through its marionettes, is trying to remove Israel, so I expected to see a brutal attack. To me, it seems like Israel capitulated to Biden's wishes.
I think not leaving scorched earth with the assistance of the US is a blunder. In the end, it will be far worse.

Israeli forces are stretched right now. As much as they might want to, they can’t afford to cross any lines that could see Iran keep hitting them back. They did serious damage though, and took out Iranian solid fuel production capabilities. Estimates put it at one to two years to restore production.

Israel is 1300 miles from Iran. 28 hour drive! The size difference is crazy!
I wonder if Iran was right next door, would have done more damage? More sorties?
Israel is blue.
Be kind to everyone!

Does Israel have bases is Saudi or did they have to fly 1200 miles to bomb or was this a non flight mission?

They flew the entire route. They staggered the launch, and used their 707 tankers to escort them.

They used at least some air launched missiles from F-15s and F-16s, launched possibly over Iraq. Iranian sources report F-35s over Tehran, but take that with a big grain of salt.
