There is also Russia and China available should Musk drive his rocket company into the ground one day, or a change of government does that for him.

Why do we want Elon to drive his "rocket" company into the ground? Just because he is finding billions in mistakes and possible fraud?

It would not hurt if you lost SpaceX and with competition between Russia and China, I'm sure the U.S. could get a really good deal.

They launched 84% in 2024 it's demonstratively cheaper to use domestic SpaceX over China and Russia

I doubt you researched any of that post. Edit: I take that back. SpaceX is ahead of the game right now, but not for long. Competition is what is needed to bring prices down and bring innovative entrepreneurs up and coming. Guess who will have the last laugh.

The topic of this thread is national debt isn't it and what the government did with those saved millions or billions, whichever, where did the money go? How much is the debt again?
