Archetypal Imagery During Meditation

For this kind of thing in general keep a journal, journal more than just your visions. Don't post your dreams/visions on the internet as such, be crafty if you need information.  That's the best I can give you sorry.

Awww I'm sorry you feel that way Sirius, but I respect your view on it.

For me personally, I'm not worried how anyone is going to see me. This was a vision in my mind's eye during a meditation where I was intentionally exploring my inner self.  If it had been an unprompted visual hallucination- that would be cause for some concern.  Also, this is in the Psychology, Philosophy & Metaphysics category on a conspiracy theory site so I tend to assume the audience is going to be a little more receptive.

As for your journalling suggestion, I couldn't agree more.  I've been keeping a dream and meditation journal for years and it is a great practice that I highly recommend.

However...

In search of truth there can be no secrets.

I was thinking further...

and please forgive me if this matter is closed.

I inferred words adjacent to your own... my own reflexive thought experiment...

Here's kind of where I was coming from.... just to avoid painting your original and true information... recognizing my inferences for what they are... a reaction.

In your imagery I thought... perhaps..

You approached, or were approached by a magnitude of presence...

It formed as you observed, metaphorically, as clay before a sculptor...
the theme was 'hands' and the natural apparatus of manipulations... many of them...

I would think it appeared as something which presents it's magnitude in realization...

You were impressed, I think.

The imagery may be personal, the result of you and you alone.

Others may know so much more, and be more gifted in their considerations...

I'll leave it to you to apply discretion...
because it remains true not all members see all perspectives.
Some of those unseen may be useful to look at.

(How's that for pretentious?  Tongue)

You’re good Maxmars- this kind of topic doesn’t exactly lend itself to small talk. Smile

What you said about magnitude resonates, but for me it wasn’t so much a conscious presence as sheer scale. It felt immense and solid- not something arriving in the moment, but something long-formed throughout the millennia. In another conversation, someone described it as a crystallized egregore of conflict, and that framing really seems to be the best description I've heard.

The clay aspect keeps coming back to me as well. Clay as primordial material "prima materia" the raw psychic substance shaped into form. If something is formed collectively, clay feels like the right symbol: moldable, shaped by many hands. A testament to the nature of humanity.

I believe I touched on this earlier in the thread, but this is also a personal matter for me.  Since my husband died, I’ve been thinking more often about the possibility that we’re not separate beings at all but facets of one underlying consciousness. And to that end, I've been wrestling with the disparity of the human experience- how can we be one yet be so radically different in awareness, empathy, and action.

So, the image of a unified but distorted collective feels connected to that tension I've personally been wrestling with.

Your response sent me on a fugue of memory...

Long ago I was thinking about how we (people) characterize God.

My mind was mulling about the many "human" ways we would "naturally" imagine God.
But I thought that such characterizations would also "naturally" carry our human (non-God) sentiments within it.

(Here's where maybe it gets relevant?)

What if God were more like seeing through every set of eyes... without controlling us?
Like we metaphorically are faces of a giant crystal... reflection in each face, the witness of a different life.

I abandoned the imagery over my limitations to express it...

But the 'many hands on clay' seems even a more realistic metaphor in some regard, no?

Thanks for the small talk to a message in a bottle...

That's truly beautiful Maxmars.
