Nope.   Don't want to revisit it.
Let's just say it was 6 months of harassment that took official Catholic church intervention.
And I'll never go to a psychic again.  Never.  It opens doors that are difficult to close.

But for reading in this area .... Well known Catholic exorcist from DC area ... Msgr. Rossetti ....

Ah, that fellow! The one who graduated from the Air Force Academy, got a degree in political science, then spent six years as an Air Force Intelligence officer doing undisclosed things, before he suddenly noped the fuck out and joined a seminary and became an exorcist. Hey, there's another thread about interesting people that it would be cool to do an AMA interview here with. I bet he has some fascinating stories and is just about the right level of celebrity for this place. You should suggest it! I bet he'd be in to it.

If you keep talking about it, it keeps it alive and attracts the supernatural.
That's what the exorcist priest who took care of the situation says.
He says when it's done don't dwell on it and move on.  
And I trust his expertise in this area.   He deals with it all the time.

If you are curious about that kind of thing, read the blog 
of the exorcist priest that I gave the link to.   He also does online
sessions that anyone can do along with him.  They are standard
prayers for deliverance in the Catholic church.   Obviously free of charge.

Yep.   His blog is interesting.   We did one online session with him to see how it was.  It was an hour.   Standard Catholic deliverance prayers that come from a priest.  Didn't 'feel' anything or have anything happen during it so I guess we were 'all clear'.

This tells me that you are thinking about the type of 'evil' that is tainted human nature which indeed can be overcome by strength of character, honest engagement, and willpower. Rather than actual demonic evil for which only God's grace is sufficient protection. It's an understandable confusion if you don't have such direct personal experience and certainly most do not and I wouldn't wish it upon those whose paths are not destined to such as it is quite frankly annihilatory.

Based on the book 'Deliverance Prayers for use by the laity' by Father Chad Ripperger PhD.
He also has a 'Deliverance Prayers for use by the priests' which are prayers only the ordained 
Catholic priests are authorized to use.   There are a third set of Deliverance Prayers that only
official Catholic priest exorcists can use ... not even regular priests can use them.

We are talking about all kinds of evil - what people believe in doesn't matter here, and I am not sure it ever matters because it is what we do that matters.

If they are destroyed by an ignorant/deranged environment then they aren't evil but sick/weak instead.

I don't imagine anyone is inherently born evil.

We're all shaped, for better or worse, by the society we grow up in.

We are products of our environment.

Nature has its own ways, but its ways/illusions just has a "perfect" balance.

 

I like that take.

I suggest evil can occur or manifest when balance is disrupted or out of kilter.
