For the sake of science, I tried it with you.
After adding you to my ignore list, here are the results:
- I can see your thread titles in the forum listings;
- Clicking on the thread brings up this notice...

So, it blocks me from seeing, willingly or inadvertently, your threads.
- Whilst you were on ignore, I couldn't see your posts in other threads, but there is the override option to "show this post"...

Finally, it looks like I wouldn't be able to receive direct messages from you, as stated in the ignore list control panel...
The only thing I don't know is if you are made aware of my actions. Can you let us know if you received a notification that you were added (and later removed) from my ignore list?
If not, then I assume that my threads and posts would not be blocked for you automatically. I think you would have to ignore me purposefully.
