ISIS kills 2 U.S. troops in Syria

The new leader of Syria is pro-American unlike Assad and has even been invited and did indeed visit the USA. Some of the Syrian troops were injured along with the U.S. troops...... I would expect Mr. Reaper Drone will be tasked to reply to ISIS.

Washington keeps trying to fast-track HTS as a counter-ISIS partner. But this is the reality: HTS’s ranks remain deeply interwoven with ex-ISIS, ex-Jabhat al-Nusra, and other Salafi-jihadist networks. You can rebrand a movement. You can rename a government. But you cannot change its social base or security culture overnight.
