I agree and feel sorry for his efforts that failed.

I think there is a significant number of people who dislike him on both sides of the political aisle.
Considering his controversial political stances and rhetoric on certain social issues.
Never mind the lies he tells about other places and people around the globe, to suit his own warped and twisted political agenda.
But i would point out there didn't seem to be Republican or Democratic politicians/senators thetening to kill him or smash up his stock.
Just disgruntled individuals and members of the public.
Otherwise, im sure he will be able to list them by name.
As to the "paying people to do nothing" nonsense, that man has never done a hard day's work in his puff.
How the hell would he know what constitutes hard graft is beyond me.
And the nazi salutes certainly don't help matters either.
"Yet so it is, we see the illiterate bulk of mankind that walk the high-road of plain common sense, and are governed by the dictates of nature, for the most part easy and undisturbed. To them nothing that is familiar appears unaccountable or difficult to comprehend."

Well...he did find a lot of waste and fraud...its pretty well documented. Its also pretty obvious that these NGOs and government contractors as well as foreign programs were not what they were made to appear on the surface...unless they really are that dumb and ridiculous...I doubt that.
The citizens do pay for all of that all while many at home suffer as well as our infrastructure and many other aspects...not the least of which the US budget and debt.
I would be surprised if the corrupt individuals and those benefiting from all these programs weren't upset that they got cut off...especially so these days with the sense of entitlement most seem to have. I would also be surprised if there wasn't some of those looking to get revenge in some manner.
You seem to think because he is rich he wouldn't be able to identify graft and corruption...yet he has run multiple major companies and apparently he has been very successful with them. That makes no sense no matter what angle I try to look at it from. I would bet he has seen graft and corruption way before he looked for it in the government.
Also we all know the guy is akward but do you really think his gesture was meant to be a nazi salute...because to me it seems like you're calling it that so you can disparage him and try to take attention off the topic...he found a lot of waste and corruption and finally some of it was cut off and those people tend to not be very happy with that.
You are a mod here at a site called "deny ignorance" and the example you are setting here is quite the opposite in my view. I'm sure you will disagree and reply with a wall of words and nonsense rather than actually taking responsibility or even considering what I am saying...and thats ok...my post is for those who read this thread not particularly for you, even if it does apply to you.

Me too. I like Elon, he tells it like it is. I'd have him for President any day.

You're accepting Musk's claims without real evidence.
He has not shown credible proof of widespread fraud, he mostly points to normal, legally approved spending and calls it corruption.
And independent reviews show his supposed savings are often exaggerated, sometimes by orders of magnitude.
His "Department of Government Efficiency" raised serious concerns by gaining broad access to sensitive government data, creating obvious conflicts of interest and privacy issues.
The narrative that he "exposed massive corruption" is built on assertions, not verified findings.
Assertions aren't evidence, and repeating them doesn’t make them true.
Show me your homework, please? Or Musk's, for that matter?
As to me being a mod, if i choose to participate in a thread, im a member just like you.
And im entitled to my opinion, same as yourself.
What Musk has said and done is a matter of public record.
Next.

Small problem there U.S. Constitution requires presidents to be natural-born citizens.
Musk is a South African immigrant, so...

Both parties hate anyone that wants responsible government that doesn’t want to spend a country into oblivion while the cronies get rich. All forms of government lead to a ruling elite that takes care of its insiders / cronies. To believe otherwise is foolish.
A government accountable to the constitution and its people while acting as a good stewardship without reckless spending making cronies rich is “controversial”.

Musk is certainly not punting the American dream, to his employees.
Take Tesla for instance which has been accused of harsh working conditions.
With allegations include firing employees who raise concerns or try to unionise.
Then there are the more specific claims of racial discrimination in Tesla factories.
The man is one of them, plain for all to see if you wish to look.
He's not a man of the people, he's part of the problem.
