How to Get PFAS Out of Your Drinking Water + Mental Health
#31
I don't know if it was an intentional outcome of informational control, or some general psychology thing,
but it's almost like the general population isn't actually aware that all this wealth-making chemistry ends up in the food chain and atmosphere - everywhere.
The disconnect is similar to how there is no valid reason for 'drinking' fluoride, but we do.

Perhaps the apathy is a reflection of something organic in society,
but I still suspect we are victims of some form of distraction.

Yet... most shrug and move on...
We (and our kids) should be highly concerned.

Ah, the fluoride. What better way to get rid of an excess of rat poison, it was first sold as such, than get paid for it as a water additive. Getting paid for toxic industrial waste disposal.
Does anyone know the minimum safe distance of ignorance?
Did anyone ask the monkeys how much fun the barrel actually was?

The culture in the South (particularly Southern conservatives) is quite different than that of the North.  To some extent, racists in the North are different than the Southern ones (with their KKK and lynching background.)  So your sad experience isn't surprising once you look at the nuts and bolts of what each was taught about being a "proper citizen" during the last 140 years (going back to great-grandparents of the older generation.)

Amen to that brother one billion percent along with their phoney failth and "religion" as the discrimination still lives on. When they assume or think your a Yankee you will get the Southern discount. Why, because they hate you. I cant wait to leave. My wife is 180 degrees opposite of my thinking but shes on board after being excluded for simply being from the North.

Unless you were born here you will never be included. My realestate lawyer said so after moving her 40 years ago.

You know that happens everywhere right?

I mean, of course you do, and I understand the proximity to it, and maybe even diving into it, makes it much less tolerable.

But consider this:

You are born white.
Your parents were white.
You come from a place/people who are most notable for racially distinct "type."
But you are white.

You are called names here, and denigrated for sport among whites here...
and shunned, undeserved, or otherwise ostracized (even within legitimate groups,)
"back where you came from" as one would say... because "You're not one of us either!"

I think it's a problem specifically about society...
To focus on race (or anything else) is probably the wrong path for a genuine solution.

But it does appear that so many people choose to "differentiate" is natural, although
maybe not exactly "naturally" about that upon which we fixate as "differences."

And most similarities seem to go out the window.
As if they were "naturally" unwelcome.

But then who the hell cares what I think?

Our ancestors were white but were all "Serfs" in Europe. Serfs were also considered a milder form of slavery as so why would they leave Europe to come here in the late 1880's. So they arrive here to work in the coal mines of Pennsylvania? Or to be a chef or cleaner. Quite similiar to the ones now coming over the border.

No, you make sense and a good arguement. In my own opinion I am trying to be unbiased to the extreme. Before we moved here we thought the South was gentile, forgiving, classy, cultural, polite. Nah. We were ready to really absorb that culture! However, we since found that entire Gone With The Wind type of environment was a fantasy product developed by the North to appease the South after the civil war. Same goes with the monuments and statues. "To let them down gently". With respect.

I know enough rational Southernors of all ages in our 11 years of living here that what we perceived is nothing more than a myth. They said so. So have the religious door knockers such as the Jehovah's Witnesses. I recall back in 2015 when they knocked on my door we got talking and we finally came around to culture, respect for others and simply the lack of respect for others. I was told that there is little respect for others including their own. "Its always been that way here" and that was an elder from Jehovah's Witnesses.

I have also read a book written by a black female born and raised here in Georgia who moved to Chicago. In her book she references Obama and his mistake along with George Bush was to back the culture of the South during their administration.

She will never return

Now, up North same exists but different based on what you wrote and I get what you wrote. My family og Grandfather and faeter were so despised as Polish they both changed their last names to be and remain employed as Engineers. Thats in Democrat controlled New York State!

So here I am today with a family last name that really isnt a true family name. It was merely invented to avoid discrimination and economic persecution and yes it worked.

So now people think I am Jewish.
