I never said anything because it's personal, around November last year my son collapse in my arms and I had to rush him to ER, he is fine now . I died and lived a million life times as we fell to the ground. Push comes to shove I will worship a rock and praise it for all eternity. Love trumps all.
How do I feel about religion? It's fused into every atom of my being, the universe, spacetime and all the realms beyond.

Indeed, perception shapes reality.

Absolutely agree.
It goes much further and deeper than any preacher, church or holy book could and that's why it is called "practicing" a religion.
We must die inside to truly live.
May you and your son be filled with the energies of the Universe for Eternity.
Wisdom knocks quietly, always listen carefully. And never hit "SEND" or "REPLY" without engaging brain first.

Thank the doctors and science for saving your son.
It does not have to be in God's hands.
No need to go there.

Religion? It's an interesting side-effect of human nature.
Personally, I don't follow any and don't believe in god(s).

First we have to ask ourselves “What is Religion ?”
It’s at this moment that we seem to break apart as a cohesive group. It’s nothing new.
Religion is a group of people with similar/same beliefs who have banded together to practice their faith/beliefs together. The same applies to everyone who has identified themselves as Christian, Jewish, Islamist or Atheist et al.
Religion is their primary source of practice. Not necessarily their belief.
Their beliefs are actually quite different. This explains the myriad of different Christian churches, Muslum beliefs and the rest of the teachings of each religion.
As a person who has studied Theology I have found that people follow their ancestors faith in various degrees. They identify as what they have been taught, but not necessarily at the same level of worship.
Others have found themselves excited to learn about something that is more along the ideals that they were taught, but that is more about spirituality than it seems.
The new buzzword is spirituality versus religion. I don’t personally have a bone to pick with this, as I see it as being something that is rebellious against the notions of their forebears. I find it as an expression of their desire to keep the faith more than anything.
Anyhow, as usual, my two pesos…

I brought up three children on my own and I would always tell them to stay away from religious people. Not in a harsh way and not often, just with a smile and a little reminder. They are grown now with kids and really are kind and caring people.
I follow my own advice and stay away from them. There is nothing good about religion. I am always polite whenever I encounter them.
I think it's dreadful really though. I only have to look around me and see what religion is and what it has done in the past and still does today.

Two good pesos. What you said about spirituality also popped in my head. Feels complicated to untangle

This is what I call corruption. Does spirituality resonate with you?
@ quintessentone the doctors did nothing other than poke around like monkeys and speak Latin words for symptoms and fuck up the paper work with the insurance. I can also speak in my ancestors tongue with much greater effect. You forget where I live, you need faith before you go into hospitals here.
@ Nerb, beautiful, thank you.
