I dont seem to recall calling you disabled, or anyone else.

Good luck with what appears to be some sort of personal attack, all the same, and telling me what i must. LoL

If you dont like the facts buddy, provide actual, tangible evidence to support the claims you make, or believe.

Or do I need to explain how the burden of proof functions?

Shame on you back for your nonsense and daft wording.

And just to add, i want to believe as much as you do, but i need actual evidence, else it's all just so much wishful thinking.

End of the day.

Yeah that was probably a bit too much. What do you need evidence off?

Well, in this case, it would appear to be robots of a sort, like the op claims.

But in a more general sense, tangible proof of alien life visiting our planet.

Cheers for toning it down a tad all the same, im quite analytical, but i also like to keep an open mind to all possibilities.

And i will recognize the fact that in some areas, science has its shortcomings.

But it is still, imho, the best tool we have at our disposal, that will allow us to understand, and attempt to comprehend, life, the universe, and the reality we think we experience.

OP's robot's is between him and whatever gods he serves, it's totally his issue and he has to find the meaning.

Addressing belief first, you have to go and say this "thing" is from God and treat it as Gods creation and sacred and forget about all else, it is your belief. So you don't then go and try and prove it is not, you do whatever you can to elevate it.

I can't give you belief. Sometimes what people want is a miracle, you can ask for a miracle, but not from me I'm also just a dude talking here. The thing is though if you are asking for miracles for proof then you don't have belief. We will go in circles forever.

In a general sense tangible proof of alien life visiting our planet...what would that be?

We would need proof of God also, which remains rather elusive.

Tangible proof would seem to include the likes of physical artifacts, craft, materials, with non-earth isotopic ratios.

Things like biological samples of non-terrestrial DNA, or direct contact documented by multiple credible sources.

None of which, to date, we can actually claim to have, or if we do, certainly not out in the open, available to the public, or mainstream science.

Where belief is concerned, by nature, it doesn't depend on proof or miracles, it's trust or faith without needing constant confirmation.

If someone demands a miracle to believe, they’re really seeking evidence, not belief.

Belief doesn't require the miracle in the first place.

Which is why, imho, faith often begins where proof ends.

You need proof of God which remains rather elusive to you because you don't believe. I told you we will go in circles.

Who is the we? Is there some kind of materialistic atheist cult living in a clockwork universe, no ways  Wink1 I'm still trying to wrap my head around the creation story there, seems conflicting with the rest of it. Photons are strange https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-FJVCrldAfM and what is gravity even?

The proof of aliens that you want, go and get it, why must someone get it for you... to contextualize. If you told me you saw a flying disc I would go "cool! anything interesting happened?" or I would go whatever if the story is ridiculous, more horrors from our mother.  If you ran up to me and said "the Martians are coming and they will zap all of us!" Then I would ask you to slow down and take it from the top...

What are you asking here logically? Your an ant challenging the supreme intelligence of the universe, if I was that entity I would be whatever, or squish you if you where annoying. You are already the evidence in any case.

Shouting at the gods and defying them is an age old tradition of man. Go for it, shout at the heavens.

That's incorrect, i will perfectly happily entertain the notion of a creator or creator force.

Just not in the manner most organised religious practices paint or subscribe to.

Nor one that requires my worship, attendance, or devotion.

When people say "we" in science or philosophy, it's usually shorthand for humans as observers.

But that "we" isn’t some unified cult.

It includes materialists, atheists, spiritual thinkers, and everyone in between.

The "clockwork universe" idea comes from early mechanistic science like Newton/Laplace, where everything runs like a predictable machine.

But modern physics and quantum mechanics, and even relativity, blew huge holes in that view.

So yes, the creation story, big bang, etc, and the nature of photons seem conflicting under purely materialist views.

Which is why some physicists, philosophers, and mystics argue that consciousness, information, or something non-material might play a role.

But again, actual tangible proof is the ticket, and that's what science endeavors to produce by way of repeatable experimentation and results.

Which, to date, remains elusive, to say the least.

So do you, or did you, simply have an overactive imagination? Were you also a daydreamer?

My imaginary friend was called Timmothy, and would get the blame for things i most likely did not wish to fess up to myself.

He apparently went away when i went to primary school, according to my parents.

For some reason, though, i couldn't tell you what he looked like or even recall his existence in adulthood.

I never had an imaginary friends, I had a few real life friends as a child, but I was a daydreamer...big time and one of my teachers always had to say "Wake up (my name)" and she probably woke up most of the other kids too. lol
