That family knows but is not saying or the ones that know are already gone. The elephant probably has a good reason that would make that family look very bad.

Thumbup

Might be worth the authorities checking their hard drives...

I mean, it's a safe bet to suggest one of them has done something to the animal.

And if it keeps going after family members.

One could be inclined to believe they may have done something to one of his family members.

Some kind of Elephant Charles Bronson?

Im not suggesting it doesn't need to be destroyed, given the horrible killings...

But something has to have prompted the animal to act like that.

I read its simply from "encroaching on his territory"

The Bull Elephant leaves the herd to live alone and many raid villages. Its not targeting a specific family. Just really bad luck.

In his elephant way this one said, "If they are going replace my territory with farms and sprawl, I will just raid those, because its mine anyway."

Two others, Ronaldo and Govindi are other males of his species that raid villages and gore people.

In India they named one Osama Bin Laden for a raid that killed 27 villagers.

Solitary male elephants dont give a fuck. They are above humans in the food chain... in their minds.

No, the elephant killed 25 people, 4 of those are from one family.

Yeah i got that wrong also, the beast is not specifically going after his family members.

From what i can glean through Elephants usually do not hunt people.

Unless they feel threatened, surprised, or are protecting their young.

Most attacks being of the defensive sorts.

I suppose the habitat loss and/or people getting too close could indeed warrant such thoughts...

I am all for respecting our animal kingdom mammalian cousins, but like humans, some of these mofo's have just gone over the edge. I suspect this fella has gotten to enjoy the sport of taking out humans. Maybe it enjoys the crunch, seeing as his particular method is stomping versus goring. Forget playing nice, this thing is a menace like American Psycho, and an Agm-114 is the simplest way to bring piece of mind to the locals in the area.

We recently lost an Asian elephant in Tampa named Carina at Bush Gardens. I was just there in late June twice. I saw this elephant and was amused at her covering herself with dirt and branches before approaching the little pond and spraying herself with water. It was pretty crappy to hear she passed away not but a couple weeks later. Bush gardens has been owned by a hedge fund/holding company for like ten years, and the park service itself has gone rather trash since. Half the rides are closed due to staffing issues every time we go, and they cycle them throughout the day. So a rollercoaster that was opened or closed earlier in the day is then vica versad for the latter half so other rides can be staffed.

Super down hill since my childhood and teenage years. It would not surprise me if the asset holders simply put her down because they did not want to spend the money on a proper vet service. Pieces of crap. She was a really nice one, not homicidal at all. 54 years old!
