As is the case with other cities that threw it out in the last few years, because it's "racist"

Since I have a little perhaps Germanic robot part of my brain tied to my logic centres, I see no reason why cash bail would be seen as a racist practise if taken to it's ultimate logical conclusion.
Having the money in the first place, (if you do) ipso facto generally shows that you have the responsibility and wherewithal to hold a steady job, or be intelligent enough to gather the funds through being productive in society. Yes i know that sounds naive but this is a generality. So if you have said responsibility, and can buy your way out, you will be less likely to commit more crimes after bailing or being bailed out.
Likewise, if you cannot afford to bail yourself out, if the bail amount is even too large for the bail loanshark people to lend you in good faith, then you probably (again a crass generalisation) don't 'deserve' to be out yet, anyway.
