The gist of my feelings on the matter is that Trump should not say silly, stupid, nasty things for effect. About people whose boots he could not lace. War veterans and our military dead tick that box. https://theweek.com/politics/things-dona...t-military He seems to have to deny making a lot of remarks...

I just think there are better things we/they could be spending the money on. I imagine it will be easier to shield smaller nations or certain key areas of the USA as opposed to the entire country. So more like a "Sky-Net" than "Golden Dome." I don't think it worked out too well in fiction...

There is no reliable evidence he said war dead were losers or suckers. There is evidence the left is trying to take advantage of his dumping on a controversial political rival by claiming he said similar things about all veterans.

Slagging off dead troops and war heroes is above the left or right mentality that most people assume wag the dog's tail. Plenty of proof as to the horendous controvertal nasty things he has said about war heroes and veterans. If you refuse to accept it thats up to you. Ive presented numerous links that show the diabolical statements he has come away with. As to reliable evidence, like 1-hour special prime time TV shows, that may or may not exist?

Quote:The initial, high-profile claim that Trump disparaged American war dead as “losers” and “suckers” originated in a multi-source Atlantic article alleging conversations during his 2018 trip to France and elsewhere; that reporting described multiple instances, including an alleged refusal to visit a cemetery and references to Marines killed at Belleau Wood as “suckers” (summarized in later coverage) [sup][1] [3][/sup]. Military Times summarized those allegations and noted that Associated Press reporting and a senior Defense Department official had confirmed parts of the account, giving the Atlantic story additional corroboration in the aftermath "Denial is a common tactic that substitutes deliberate ignorance for thoughtful planning."

Because my understanding is that rather a few are ongoing conflicts. Or are not exactly what any sane person would call concluded or resolved. Point of fact. A few of the nations where he's claimed to end wars. Turn out to be thousands of miles apart aka Armenia and Cambodia.

I'm still going with a bombastic, jingoistic overclaimer is better than a candidate who can't seem to talk unless she sounds coached or rehearsed. He figured out how to get NATO to do what their own experts said needed to be done for 20 years. Kamala probably would only have been vaguely aware that there had been some controversy over Greenland two administrations before hers if she had been elected in 2024. |
