Hackman was a truly gifted actor, and it is difficult to consider his passing with casual regard... probably because I liked almost every project he contributed to.

Such lousy reporting did Hackman have the same type of decomposition? This makes it sound as if Hackman was alive much longer than his wife.

Reporters do vaguely make it sound like Arakawa had mummified hands and feet but not Hackman.

He was last confirmed alive 9 days before finding his body dead.

A friend of Arakawa said she saw her a few weeks ago.

If it was just dry indoor air that mummified her hands, that wouldn’t happen within 9 days.

This suggests either someone embalmed her, or Hackman let her body decompose at their house for maybe 1 week before he died too.

I saw 1 report say mummification by dry air can take 2 weeks, and I heard another reporter say it could take months.

The mummification detail is definitely suspicious…

Sheesh maybe the mummification isn’t statistically impossible.

But what about the dead German shepherd locked away?

No signs of gas, no signs of foul play, some spilled pills and a space heater by Arakawa in the bathroom, Hackman dead in the mud room, door left open, if I recall just about all the info out there at the moment…

She died at night when he was asleep, I'm thinking. He woke up several hours later and didn't have anyone there to help him get up. When he got desperate, he got up and found her, the shock and horror of it killed him and he just collapsed on the spot.

the poor dogs, I'm guessing got hungry, went into a cupboard/room and the door closed behind it. 


His daughters I'm expecting to be gold diggers - they never really cared much for him - a couple of weeks without contact wouldn't be unusual.
