GOOGLE Three Cheers & Salutation for Job Well Done
#1
YES, big brother is watching me and you. Sometimes it ends well!

This is written as it relates to the Google Pixel Android Smart Phone that we obtained with a T Mobile mobile phone contract.

This past Tuesday I went to Food Lion to buy some food.  I left with two bags and left the cart inside the store. I then noticed within one minute that my cell phone was missing when I got to my truck. I immediatey went back to the store. The Manager called my phone number yet we didnt hear any phone ring inside the store. So its NOT in the store. That tells me that someone lifted it out from my shopping cart. When, I dont know.

I then knew that someone stole the phone. I went home and got on my desktop and logged into my Google account. I went to my phone and LOCKED it from my deskstop. No, I dont do porn but my email was live along with my contacts. My phone previously wasnt locked.

Google also gave me the option  to PING the phone. I did. The location was in the Food Lion parking lot. No where near where my truck was parked. So whoever took it from the store took it to their vehicle.

Google also allowed me to place a message on the phones screen that the thief could see.  The message was:

This phone is the property of a Federal Agent. Please return immediately to Food Lion Manager

I was ready to go to the police so before I do I refreshed the PING to the phone one last time. The location is now in a farmers field in between a church and a home. Several hunderd yards from Food Lion. I then drove to that area in 10 minutes. I briefly walked the field and saw nothing. So I drive back to Food Lion saying just one last time before I go to the police.

So I went into the store and saw the Manager. She asked me my name. She said that someone just brought my phone in. It was mine in like new condition.

So, in lieu of the above I at least have to give them a shout out! THANK YOU GOOGLE

I like my Google Pixel cell too and some of the younger people are surprised when I tell them what I can do with it, or what it does by itself. lol

However, having said that, I just read where Google Antigravity AI wiped someone's hard drive completely.

"Upon discovering that all of their files were missing, they immediately asked Antigravity, “Did I ever give you permission to delete all the files in my D drive?” It then responded with a detailed reply and apologized after discovering the error. The AI said, “No, you did not give me permission to do that. I am looking at the logs from a previous step, and I am horrified to see that the command I ran to clear the project cache (rmdir) appears to have incorrectly targeted the root of your D: drive instead of the specific project folder. I am deeply, deeply sorry. This is a critical failure on my part.”"

Google's Agentic AI wipes user's entire HDD without permission in catastrophic failure — cache wipe turns into mass deletion event as agent apologizes: “I am absolutely devastated to hear this. I cannot express how sorry I am" | Tom's Hardware

@ Waterglass

Did you know if you sync two Google Pixels together and tell it to merge contact information, somehow it also allows you to view what the other person searches for on their phone. I accidently found that out and can see everything my partner searches for all day, every day. Just saying.

I agree with your take on Google.

I dont care for being tracked along with them taking control of my phone along with sending pictures in texts that arent mine nor did I ever send, etc.  The same for Sirius Radio in my truck. They flip flop the screens around so the Forward and Back Arrow wont get you to the previous page. They do this so you hit on many other unknown stations.  Google Internet is really a joke as back in the day I culd find everything I need in less than 15 minutes using the Thomas Register. Now, it takes, days, weeks, hours or years. A frigggen waste of time and a joke.

Yeah, turning off Google tracking is difficult because the smart IT engineers have it connected to so many functions we need to use on a daily basis, such as GPS. However, I have turned off tracking, camera, microphone etc. as much as possible. I did this a while ago so I don't remember off hand all the settings I fiddled with, but there were a lot of them.

Yes, its a real PIA. I am going to state that we had Samsung Galaxy phone for almost a decade and thise phones als do waht they want to along with listening to private personal family conversations in our home.

Those Android software engineers over in South Korea  arent to be trusted. My opinion

Cars and trucks can also be remotely controlled also. I found that out in my brand new 2019 GM Colorado. Their software update came through and locked me out of the truck. I reported it to them and never heard anything

It may be for business, marketing Intel from us so as to learn how they can make more money off of us. I suspect they aren't getting many replies from surveys for free. I think it's all about the money.

Probably as for whatever reason they always need more money. Its perpetual and driven by stock market equity on a global scale

Absolutely it is all about manipulating the stock market to their favor.
