They accessed the FBI's database of active wiretaps.

They could see which Chinese spies America was watching.

And warn them.

The surveillance state got surveilled.

US officials now admit:

"We cannot say with certainty the hackers have been evicted."

Some networks compromised for 3+ years.

The malware lives in the hardware itself.

It can't be patched.

It has to be physically replaced.

This is the biggest Western intelligence breach since the Cold War.

And most people have no idea it happened.

I'm not sure that there isn't a "game of games" being played here. Layers of deception. GCHQ is kind of shite at sigint compared to NSA, but really, they're not that bad.

And if true, what has China done with the information?

Adjust cheap knockoff production?
Sweat less about Taiwan?
Posture more in the South China Sea?
Become more beholden to Russia?
