Fresno Nightcrawlers

I've always found this interesting.  Back in 2007 a man in Fresno (hence the name) found something odd on his security camera.  Upon review, he saw two strange creatures that I liken to two sticks with a sheet over it.  They have a funny gait, almost as they're shuffling.  So not sure why they're named "Nightcrawlers" lol.  And these creatures or whatever they may be aren't just located in the U.S. either.  They've shown up in Europe as well.





I remember a few years back or so, there was a paranormal show that was visiting a home that supposedly had a couple of "Nightcrawlers" in their front yard. They tried everything to replicate it but were unable to.


I'm curious if they could be some sort of "elemental spirit" or similar.  What are your thoughts?

The first video looks like a person in a strange costume. The others are more like life sized marionettes IMO.

That link explains that this cryptid became an enigmatic legend cuz the 2nd video 4 years later at Yosemite on the park cam.

I can't tell if the native tribes have stories about this or not. Some claim it's debunked but I'm not sure.

I don't think it's resurfaced either.

If it isn't an elaborate hoax - it's definitely one of the weirdest things ever lol.

If it was being faked, which to be fair it does very much look like it was in some clips, I sort of would have expected there to be something else attached, no one has really monetised/attempted to monetise  their connection to the nightcrawlers, no new legends turning up on Creepy Pasta or 4Chan.

They tried replicating the night crawlers to try to debunk it but had a very hard time making them "walk" the way they do.  Always found that interesting.

I really don't know what these are, all I know is they were spotted twice.  This time and another time in someones yard. (Yikes!)

They seem peaceful enough, hopefully they're neutral creatures / spirits that mean no harm.
