Fool's Gold
#1
A star chart with life's paths.
Re-living his mind's collisions.
Lightning flashes recharge old memory banks.
He lies awake at night in an asteroid field of doubt.

Did he lose his way?
A closed past oak treasure chest and
behind the rusty lock and missing key.
Fool's Gold or a landmark discovery awaits him.

His past ruins are trapped in an invisible planet's orbit.
Pain is drawn in by gravity.
Dark clouds darken the skies,
and tears are wiped away by the drought.

A blank page awaits in his open journal.
An inkwell and pen float across the book.
History demands he write a new chapter.
What will tomorrow bring?

Sun rays heal his bleeding soul.
The deep, soulful cracks are healing.
His flood of doubt is sealed away for all time.
Thinly disguised Fool's Gold is swept away.

The dark side of the moon is illuminated.
Her beautiful eyes radiated sunshine.
Will his soul meet the face behind those eyes?
Why is her warmth from across the great barrier?

For his eternal peace shines through a twinkling star
Let the future diamonds sparkle.

This one touched me, it is journey I am very familiar with.
I call not love in human frame,
But chrome, and fire, and roaring flame.
She came in smoke and metal breath,
A streak of lust, a dance with death.
