It is a fine line for me personally, as I do not get caught up in the sensationalism , emotionalism, or jingoism of social media or the news, I must focus on distancing myself in an objective and logical manner, while still remaining compassionate and optimistic, and not sinking into any kind of existential depression. 
I generally do alright, but this comes with it's own risks, like focus on a spiritual and even afterlife reality more than the physical mundane reality.  To continue to give mundane life it's not only autopilot attention but true appreciation and joy is an act of effort and work, not a given.

Holy macaroni!  You just described how I feel most days, so much better than I could.  But the focusing on plants and animals helps me stay "grounded".

On the thread matter, this trailer led me to watch the 3 previous video from him.   So heartbreaking, and anger inducing.  But I will still watch this one when it comes out.

What I’m most curious about is what it was all for in the first place? I have my own theory, but before I divulge I would like to hear others thoughts?

I think the thing that surprised me most about the whole thing, is how people now go about their lives as if nothing happened. I can understand the people still wearing masks more than I can those that did and avoided or got angry with those that didn’t. But now wander about like nothing happened. But I digress, what was the real reason for it all?

FAFO? Have technology (mRNA), test minimal application (spike) on maximal cohort (world)? Establish global health authority? Simply the best systemic response to the situation? Something must be done, and that was something? Mosquitoes weren't enough for BillG's needle fetish? Eugenics? I dunno, everything?

It looks like a big experiment, don't you think?

It could also be something even more sinister, but I hope not because it was/is bad enough as it is.

I been doing my best to solve the puzzle, but I still can't find all the answers because I can't find proof for everything.

My intuition or whatever you want to call it gave me answers right from the start, and so far the answers was right - but, I can't find proof to everything my intuition tells me is true.

So, a truthful investigation is needed!

You will struggle to find proof and even if you do it would be dismissed by anyone that sucked up the narrative hook, line and sinker. 
 
Your intuition is as good an anything, often the best judge and advisor we have. It doesn’t nag at you though so it’s easily ignored. That’s been my experience anyway. 
 
There was an investigation in the UK, but like so many of these things it was a total farce and waste of public funds. 
 
Right so my theory then, well the lockdowns and practically global shut downs of none essential businesses, was primarily to avert a enconimic crash of epic proportions. A domino affect that could have been really nasty for the banks and big corporations. The injection of money by the creation of huge public debt effectively bailed them out covertly. Unlike the 2008 crash where “too big to fail” was used to bailout financial institutions, that couldn’t be done this time around. The public simply wouldn’t stand for it, and because of bail-ins rather than bail outs, people would have seen their savings wiped out too. 
Another reason was to get people used to buying things solely online and paying digitally rather than with cash, because eventually they will get rid of cash altogether so best get people used to the transition gradually. 
 
So that pretty much sums up the economic reasons, I could go into more detail but I’m pushed for time. Then there are the social reasons, how many people questioned why they called it social distancing and not physical distancing? Not being allowed to be physically close to people was/is devastating for some people, but ultimately they want to prohibit any social gatherings at the drop of a hat. It’s way easier to control people when you control all the information they have access too, ultimately control is what they are all about.
