Okay never mind the world spinning into chaotic oblivion, it's been doing that for a while anyway....

What are your favourite old TV shows to watch, to get away from it all? Your "comfort food" that you have enjoyed?

Star Trek
Scrubs
Friends
Firefly
Stargate
Fringe
House
Buffy
Frasier
30 Rock
MASH

I don't seem to watch any new TV!

Those sound like shows I like! I haven't seen Robin of Sherwood, thanks for the pointer.

It feels a bit weird that I no longer find Seinfeld rewatchable—its like "hahaha! sociopaths!". Does anyone else find that? Also some of the 80s comedies with their vulgar misogyny. I guess a good tangent is, what shows did you like that aren't rewatchable any more?

I Survived a Japanese Game Show

Quote:Ten Americans, many of whom have never traveled beyond the borders of the United States, head to Japan to compete in the ultimate Japanese game show. Hilarity presumably ensues. The final winner will take home $250,000.

...which I found hilarious. They didn't know they were going to Japan! Fond memories of the wasabi-eating challenge...
