Roy Clark has been one of the finest and funniest guitarist and storyteller.

Along the same lines as Andy Griffith whose career started with a guitar, a exaggerated accent, and some truly funny family entertainment. Both were able to build successful careers in television.

Roy was also an accomplished musician who entertained in a more modern style of story telling in the lyrics of his songs. Andy after success in the movie business maintained his character in television thru a variety of different settings.

Neither had the reputation they personified on screen, as both were human and men of the world, but when in the public eye were careful to provide more wholesome entertainment that wasn't particularly offensive or colorful. Traits we don't see as much in our entertainers nowadays.
