Does that "TR2" designation mean it was intended for training? Probably a silly question, but I'm just curious.

No, it's actually the technology upgrades the aircraft has received. It stands for Technology Refresh 2. The latest update is TR3, which is Technology Refresh 3. TR3 will replace the computers and memory modules for the computers, which will allow the Block 4 update. Block 4 will see more advanced sensors, and a better ability to track and identify targets, as well as add new weapons to the mix.

There's a video on TikTok going around that shows the aircraft just above the ground, not gaining altitude, and the pilot ejecting. It appears that the aircraft was unable to gain altitude as it's flying straight in the video, above a small hill.
