Thievery Corporation - Music of Conspiracies
#1
On this slow Sunday, I’m going to share my favorite band with you. Not only do I love their rhythm and beats – their music has a message. Many messages in fact. Focusing on conspiracies of our time.

Thievery Corporation started in Washington D.C., back in 1995. Wiki describes their music as: downtempo, dub, acid jazz, reggae, Indian classical, Middle Eastern music, hip hop, electronica, and Brazilian music, including bossa nova.

YES! That’s a lot of different genres of music - and THATS why it’s amazing!

The band was started by two men named Eric Hilton and Rob Garza. However, there are over 20 band members. The conspiracies they cover include: Shadow governments, war, secret societies, illusory realities, and many more.

Their albums are very reminiscent of Pink Floyd. In the aspect of it taking you on a journey by listening to the songs in the albums in the sequential order they lined them out. And thankfully on DI, I can say that means in a psychedelic experience. They are masters of ceremony!

If you like good music with an incredible message, you will be very happy. I’m going to include some of my favorite conspiracy songs. I strongly recommend using a good stereo system AND look up the lyrics.

Additionally, don’t get fooled by the first song. They are all different. So may different styles of play.

And now, for your feasting audio pleasure, I present Thievery Corporation.

Wow!  Very nice.
I didn't find a single tune I didn't like.
I like that music!
The lyrics are engaging and thought-provoking too.

TC is great.  They've played nearby a bunch of times but it's usually a small venue and it sells out quickly

Strongly recommend friending them on FB (if you have that). It will send you the upcoming tour dates, well in advance. I’ve seen them 5 times. It’s the most amazing concerts I’ve ever been to. There are just sooooo many band members (like 25), so it constantly evolves. This is not some dud just on a turn table producing these sounds electronically. It’s people playing the instruments. The crowd at them is awesome too. Cult following as they’ve been around 30 years, as of next year.

Heres some more of my favorites:
