Yes and thank you. Those movies and many others I saw back in the 50s which at the time could instill wonder as most people were not so jaded or knowledgeable as they are today....

Both excellent examples of a different time (people who would feel as aliens among us now.)

But, in the end the dream is the same...

Personally I think of this as the great grand parent of "Aliens"

It's about a crew unwittingly trapped on a return space-voyage from a doomed prior expedition to Mars.
Hidden creature, one-by one preying pattern (ala Die Hard,) desperation and tension...
The human drama is about a lone survivor presumed to have killed his crew while on Mars.
Technically, it easily passes muster for fans of the genre I've met.

If it isn't, it should be considered a classic.
