Death of a Comet
#5
(11-04-2024, 09:19 PM)AlienSun Wrote: Funny how people never question comets too closely.  And Science, being what Science always does, comes up with their cover-their-ass explanations.  Since long-period comets always return to exactly the spot in the heavens from which they appeared,--which is utterly impossible by nature's means alone, we can assume that the souls on that ship, and others that we have observed over the years--but not many, had the occasion to die either by purpose, accident or the call of Nature.  It happens to any life despite "the best laid plans of mince and men," and highly advanced ETs.

Not going to lie, this comment hit me hard -- the idea of death and rebirth in the stellar glory, plunging into a star, the magnificent outpouring plumes that SOHO somehow imaged. It got to me man. Started watching movie clips from "The Fountain", with it's amazing story and soundtrack. Bit of a grief spiral. But that's okay. Thank you.
