Dead Internet Theory - CTC

We need a parallel internet that's run by users with actual user content.

Think something along the lines of a browsers designed to use a ".user" domain name or similar.  Only that browser can reach it.  I'm not technical like that but TOR does something similar with .onion sites.

All I know is we need to break away from the current internet.  It's completely been usurped by corporations and are pushing regular people out.
And I'm gone.... Like a crack in the past....

Is it too late to boycott via as in not using the internet any further or specific programs within it? Or is it too late and we are all hooked and/or dependent on it in different ways? If the Google search engine was boycotted by a freedom fighting group would it make a dent in their wallet? Aren't they all the same with the same business plans ... is it all about data mining?

Am I deluding myself that forums such as this one are indeed filled with free-thinking real people and the owners/administration here have a handle on eliminating the bots?

Obviously, yes.  But I don't think there are a lot of corporations on the Tor network. (I haven't used Tor mind you, so I can't say that with 100% certainty.)

If we could get some kind of log-in to this parallel network we could weed out companies.  Imagine, AOL.  We have a user name, that user name allows us to chat, create / visit websites and use email.  A close ecosystem if you will.  Possibly peer to peer for the most part, with home servers for the more services that must always be online.

I already went over it in my head the network would fight each other and we would all be denial of serviced through rate limiting it was easier to just say no than explaining internet 2.0
