The only universal disqualifiers are being boring or unacceptably rude. And yes, within the bubble, it's far more communist-like, although not in the vulgar conception—as long as you have enough money to not have to worry about money, or friends thereby, then cost isn't an issue. No, he boasted about exaggerated stuff, that everyone knew he had no part in, and wasn't true.

I think they probably laughed at him, like everyone did at the UN when he addressed them, too.

Of course, he is not funny, they were just picking on him, more than any other politician in the history of the world (even the ones that were assassinated, or beaten, or defeated in battle, or spent the rest of their lives in prison, and stuff. He is more picked on than them).
