Yeah,  because prosecutions were at 37% in 2023.

So of COURSE there'd be an increase when it went up to 48%

You claimed there's a direct correlation between more arrests equaling lower crime

I guess it's not that simplistic

Not when you have leftist DA's not doing their job.

Glad we can agree.

You know in America we live in many states at a time and drive about 8 vehicles on average, so when you hear them complain about prices being too high just tell them to sell one of the vacation/rental properties and a couple of their high end purses... Also we buy gas by the gallon not liter let that sink in.

Lying, corrupt leftist DAs coupled with Trump and his tech cronies set to rake in trillions

Where could anything possibly go wrong

But according to Trump, DC has a "crime emergency"

So no, evidently an increase in arrests doesn't lead to a decrease in crime

lol, Okay but deploying the national guard did reduce all crime rates significantly. You may not like the way it was done but it looks like it's working maybe we should expand it unless you think the local PD's can pull together the same result on a similar turnaround time.

Absolutely

Expand it

The White House just released America's AI Action Plan in July

My guess is Trump's using this 'crime emergency' to circumvent outdated domestic crime fighting operations and replace them with AI driven modernization including enhanced surveillance/intel gathering, Predictive Policing & facial recognition

Washington DC is the testing ground but soon to be embedded all throughout US metropolis and major cities

"President Trump's August 2025 "crime emergency" declaration and deployment of National Guard troops to Washington D.C. triggered over $50 billion in defense contracts for companies like RTX, L3Harris Technologies, Lockheed Martin and Palantir.

This deployment, which involved 800 and potentially expanding to 2,000 National Guard troops, along with federalization of the Metropolitan Police Department, is linked to a demand for infrastructure supporting large-scale operations.

RTX and LHX have secured contracts related to communication systems, logistics platforms, and surveillance technologies for this mobilization. Palantir Technologies is a key beneficiary.

The National Guard's expanded role in law enforcement -despite its lack of traditional police forcing-has accelerated demand for AI-driven security solutions, as it may create a need for enhanced surveillance, data analysis, and support for decision-making in new operational contexts.

Companies such as Palantir, a leader in data analytics, are seeing their services utilized for real-time decision-making within the military, highlighting the growing trend of AI adoption within national security and potentially impacting the National Guard's future operations.

It's crucial to acknowledge the unique challenges and considerations when applying AI to military or quasi-military operations like those undertaken by the National Guard, as these tools can significantly impact individuals' rights and freedoms."

L3Harris Technologies' facial recognition system is used in the TSA's Touchless ID program at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport to allow TSA PreCheck travelers to verify their identity using facial biometrics, replacing the need to show physical ID. The technology, which performs a one-to-one facial comparison, began testing at DCA in 2020 and is part of a broader pilot program across various airports.

YEP.
They misrepresented violent crime by reclassifying them as lesser crimes in the reporting.
Allegedly.
This was before the Feds took over the DC police this past week.

I think people will be back to the restaurants soon and maybe even busier than before but I could be wrong. I've seen a few videos of residents liking the change I think when they realize they can walk down the streets safely now they will. I think they are just timid right now like rescued abused pets. idk lets see what late summer early fall brings too DC.

I'm sure Americans will adjust to continuous AI tracking and surveillance as well

Alien movie makeup and latex overlays right? or we could print out images of Daryl Dixon's face and glue them to paper plate masks if your poor.
