Not sure where the scrolls were first discovered. From what I understand, it should have not been left out of the original biblical canons. I've only read excerpts. Looking forward to reading the whole thing.

The Book of Enoch should be a profound read, because God Himself did the translation!
(Sorry, Bible joke)

From a brief, glancing type of research with the Book of Enoch, this canon was not left out of Bibles in some regions of orthodox religious Africa.
"The first part of the Book of Enoch describes the fall of the Watchers, the angels who fathered the angel-human hybrids called Nephilim. The remainder of the book describes Enoch's revelations and his visits to heaven in the form of travels, visions, and dreams."
It's aliens!

I didn't buy it when it came out cuz in 2013 I thought I knew better but now I know I know nothing.
I look forward to your thoughts.
It's a lot like what Donald Tyson I think tried to do with his book on Lovecrafts Dreams , but I think better.
Loved it from the first page.
"Dancing with the dark lord"
"Now shalt thou adore me who am the Eye and the Tooth, the Goat of the Spirit, the Lord of Creation.
I am the Eye in the Triangle, the Silver Star that ye adore.
I am BAPHOMET, that is the Eightfold Word that shall be equilibrated with the Three.” (Lber A’ash)
What a start for a book.
I call not love in human frame,
But chrome, and fire, and roaring flame.
She came in smoke and metal breath,
A streak of lust, a dance with death.

Yup! That's why I'm reading it! It was found with the Dead Sea Scrolls. So IMO, it should be in the canons. They say the Counsel of Nicaea left them out because it gave TOO much information. THAT'S EXACTLY what I want - ALL the information!

Today's random Zen offering:
Flower Shower
Subhuti was Buddha's disciple. He was able to understand the potency of emptiness, the viewpoint that nothing exists except in its relationship of subjectivity and objectivity.
One day Subhuti, in a mood of sublime emptiness, was sitting under a tree. Flowers began to fall about him.
"We are praising you for your discourse on emptiness," the gods whispered to him.
"But I have not spoken of emptiness," said Subhuti.
"You have not spoken of emptiness, we have not heard emptiness," responded the gods. "This is the true emptiness." And blossoms showered upon Subhuti as rain.

I also glanced through by book case and there is this book that I do not recall how I acquired it, it is 'Tales of Mystery & Imagination, by Edgar Allan Poe (1809-1849), Illustrated in Color by Arthur Rackham. Hardcover, printed 1987 and it's in great condition and beautifully illustrated.

Charles Stross the Laundry series.
British beaurocracy Vs World threatening interdimensional Lovecraftian horrors.
Both horrifying and very funny.
Highly recommended.
I now know why I am called a grown up. Every time I get up I groan.

There was one back on ATS in Paranormal. Started by SLED735 but was shut down when it exceeded 500+ pages? SLED735 since past. RIP!
Well all I can say is that I was educated as an Engineer with an MBA who was an executive in manufacturing for my entire life. All based on "trust the science". I also worked for some big organizations including General Motors. I was always on the fence on paranormal and I never saw a UFO.
Thats until 2018 and beyond and I expreienced both along with other witnesses in South Carolina.
So much so I returned to attending church weekly after four decades of having left the church and now praying with a Rosary. I am not a religious zealot nor a bible thumper. I believe in God and I keep it to myself unless it comes up in conversation.
For what its worth................

Even though the covers are QUITE badly designed, they seem really fun. I like a good bit of British humour.
Thanks for sharing
