Cognitive Dissonance Question.
#10
"Can anybody help me with this apparent cognitive dissonance?"
Karl12

What cognitive dissonance? Stupid + Stupid = Stupid
Anyone expecting US Govt to act intelligently has bigger fish to fry than mentally reconciling it's individual actions.

For me the only "blip" was the initial Covid Lockdown announcement. For anyone who remembers the 1st SARs incident where "blah-blah airplanes, blah-blah Canada, blah-blah new unknown virus then for a split second a temp lockdown seemed rational. The US pulling together like Britain during WW2 images danced thru my head.

Then reality set in.
The US had absolutely no medical clue what they were doing, each State had listed different/impractical items needed for logistics/civil society as "non-essential" which made shortages a 100% given. Once Fauci opened his mouth anyone with a brain realized it was going to be a long hard saga.

Our immigration issues have been a dumpster fire SINCE WW2. Some years things aren't "as bad" other years it's a stampede. Longest slowest most consistant "foreign invasion" of a Country in recent memory.

Cognitive Dissonance for me, jmo, came with different lunacy. Apparently everything I knew about 19th century American Governmental history was a lie, Science I learned is now all wrong, plus a few other minor shockers. US policies ever being common sense STILL aren't in my top ten list of Mindbenders.
