What evidence do you have for venom in food?  What kind of venom?   I know that some places sell bee venom honey and some influencers have been raving about it, but it's been banned in some countries.   (please don't link videos.  I don't want to spend an hour sitting through something I could have read in 15 minutes.)

Well they spray synthetic spider, ant and other venom's directly on the crops (your food) to kill the bugs. Now they have GMO plants that produce venom's so they don't even have to spray it on the plant.

No that's what I thought also. But venom's aren't destroyed by the 4% hydrochloric acid in the stomach.  And ACE inhibitors are pills for high blood pressure and the venom (component of venom they claim)  survive just fine.

Once the ingested food item reaches the stomach, the stomach acid (or gastric acid) does its work. The stomach is home to strong acids, enzymes and a considerable amount of heat, all of which do a fantastic job at ‘denaturing’ venomous proteins. Snake venom, for instance, is primarily composed of proteins, the vast majority of which are broken down in the stomach, just like the proteins found in meat and beans.

Doesn't seem that harmful... and I do note that before preparation for food, these things are washed.  It seems to me that if a crop modification (whether by direct manipulation or breeding for strains that are bug resistant) was dangerous, it wouldn't be grown.

I hope you clean it good. And how do you clean it off of GMO crops that produce the poison?
