Civilization collapse

So, if the USA fell into a black hole or the US and Russia bombed each other into flat land, Australia, New Zealand, and a lot of other places  (Brazil, Argentina, Africa, India, Great Britain) would take over.  The idea of an "everybody falls into Mad Max scenario" is based on some early Cold War science fiction, where the atomic bomb basically sets off a panetwide reaction in the atmosphere and flattens the heck out of the landscape.

Here in the US there's an attitude that "every other country/civilization is too backward to maintain modern civilization.  That's a silly concept, for as of now many top research labs are NOT in the US and much of our manufacturing is done overseas and the US research colleges are starting to see a brain drain like happened in China with the Mao revolution.

There isnt an attitude of every othercountry/civilization is too backward to maintain modern civilization. There is an attitude that some countrys are too backward to maintain. But nowhere even close to all.

A worldwide modern civilization won't have another one waiting in the wings to take over after the collapse. Besides, too big to fail, right?

It is going to get worse in the future if we don't stop the use of violence against people who give speeches that they do not agree with.  The people in this article I am sharing will be the ones running things in the future.

Physical reality will start to crumble, and global civilization will start to collapse, just as the Artificial Intelligence grey aliens will transport/abduct/move our astral bodies into a quantum computing EEG Hive Mind, sometime, somewhere...

The west is in decline, but look at the economic growth in Africa, and the established economies in Asia.

Just because our civilization is in decline, its not the end of our species. Embrace the end, celebrate it even.
I was not here.

At some point we are going to go extinct. My opinion is we will never colonize anything outside of our galaxy. I dont believe space travel is possible over long/light years unless we develop some type of wormhole technology other dimensions etc. I really dont care if the human race goes extinct. Unless it happens really soon, ILL be dead anyway

Short of a world wide nuclear war or a Captain Trips level of plague, we'll be ok. Not good, but ok.

Although.....seeing what happened during the Covid mess, we know they are and have been, playing with some serious shit they should not be playing with.

I am of the opinion that sooner or later, something REALLY nasty is going to get loose.

Those figures are worse than I thought.

I used to joke about the 60s motto, "Don't trust anyone one older than 30 years old" by saying  "Don't trust anyone younger than 30". After seeing those figures in that survey, I'll say, "Don't leave the house unarmed and never turn your back on anyone under 30."

ETA: With the attitude of the younger generation and the expression of hatred toward the "boomers" I've been witnessing lately, I say double down on that last statement.

The Hubris of humans will be their undoing.

When another impact or series of impacts occurs from an asteroid or comet that will be the end of civilisation. In the meantime there could be a number of significant disrupters that could well trigger a global war over basic resources. We have become far to dependent on technology and global trade, a well oiled machine that will go completely tits up if a spanner is thrown in the works.

I don’t think there’s that much civil about civilisation anyway. We are going to have to change and adapt our ways, evolve or face extinction.

All other cycles has completed.  There has even been signs in the sky.

The problem I have is how would you actually tell if a civilization collapsing today? Feels like everything is going down the shitter and hard to tell in this totalitarian world that we live in how bad who really has it. I know allot allot allot, of people has it really bad.  There are no quick fixes, just another 100-200 years of misery.

Civilizations in the past was also smaller and there has been small cultures wiped out recently. Maybe old cycles doesn't apply any more and the world just constantly spirals down the drain.

I don't see humanity entering a new age at present. We are still barbaric, literal dark age fears abound. Instead of moving towards unity we fracture into silo's. Always competing.

how this is going
