Ciggy tax in Australia
#1
The Government wanted to ban smoking, so they pushed the price of smokes up to ridiculous levels. Now most smokers are seriously either buying or thinking about buying illegal smokes sold at the same tobacco shops that sell the taxed ones The cops don't bother the sales as if they closed the shop it would open again the next day. So the difference is ten dollars a pack for illegal brands and sixty for legal...The end result is a massive drop in revenue for the government. In fact so much it could have done a lot of serious good. If the government really cared about the peoples health they would have looked at the food supply first. Australia's Illegal Tobacco Trade is Going to BOOM | Australian Government Raises Tobacco Tax 5%

Annonentity at $60 a pack, you want to move to weed(if it's legal), it's probably cheaper.

It doesn't matter if the whole country stopped smoking, they'd just find another way to tax you. If the tax on alcohol gets insane, you can at least make your own.  All you need is 4 ingredients : Fruit/corn, water, sugar, yeast. You can get a distillation kit on Amazon for $100. Watermelon works really well.

CAUTION :  They don't call it the watermelon crawl for nothin'.

Aye, but have you seen the price of watermelons recently?

£4 quid for a big one, £3.50 medium-sized.

And if you go to Sainsbury's or Waitrose, it's £5!

Grocery prices are getting fecking mad.

I dont imagine thats much difference in most first-world nations across the globe in this day of age.

I think we will see lots of kitchen distilleries and small tobacco producers start doing their thing. Like its easy to grow you just have to do a bit of work in processing the leaf. But a nice saleable product isnt that difficult. Same with booze lots of kits that if done right taste exactly the same as the bought stuff.
So the more they tax it the more they lose out on revenue. In Britain they are putting the stained cheap diesel  through cat litter to remove the stain so it cant be identified. Government spending is notoriously loose and now with all the NGO's what services did not have to make a profit when government owned , are now going backward because they have to supply the service and a profit. When in the old days their were plenty of people to do the job. At one stage all essential services were government owned and did not have to make a profit. This was a vast reservoir of  cash to fund an entrepreneur society. So big corporation greed getting into the tax base has essentially ruined the society.
Now all the data centers that have been put up for surveillance is pushing the price of electrical power through the roof. I also notice that with regards to all the bombings going on around the world I haven't heard of a data Centre getting taken out yet. So it does look like a bit of an organized  agenda is going on , With The UK and France getting ready for war, without the resources to fight one.It looks like this New world order came from the outfield.

it is not legal to grow tobacco without a license
it is not legal to distill alcohol without a license
you cannot sell tobacco, distilled spirits, beer, or wine without a license
it is legal to brew beer and wine for personal use, but you cannot sell or give it away

as a famous australian said, "that's not a nanny state; this is a nanny state"
