Can it be the rich of New York want to empty the place a bit?
#1
Can it be there was a plan by the very rich of New York City to make their city more livable for them by reducing the number of middle class people whom they don't directly need for supporting roles?

Suppose they find it too crowded.

Suppose they supported Mamdani because many of the middle class could be fulfilling their societal role somewhere other than New York?

It will probably remain a financial hub but maybe it is the plan that many industries move on, even if it costs billionaires a little extra tax to support all the workers they need to actually keep the place running.

The insane commie libtards¹ need to remember that, if they're fighting the system, the system never provides actual solutions for itself.

You may be on to something. After all, no one is going to move to NYC because they have free buses.

¹ Bless their hearts!

NYC is fucked:

Wall Street Firms Leaving NYC

Texas Reaping of New York's Loss

Suicide By Mayor

New York solidified it's place as THE business hub of the world when it was the gateway to America. Everyone and everything coming to America had to pass thru New York, which made it the perfect hub for businesses. Now with an already burdensome tax policy poised to become even worse, it only makes sense from a business perspective to move the economic hub of the United States somewhere much more tax friendly.

The people who will be moving out of New York are the rich and middle class.
Only the poor and the criminal leeches will be left.
No one in their right mind would stick around if they have the ability to leave.

That’s why JP Morgan now has more employees in Texas than New York.
They would all be here in Texas if they didnt just build that three billion dollar building.

It's impossible that Mamdani didn't discuss it with the truly rich.  He can protect them.  He could even cut down on the number of poor by raising minimum wage like California did.

Look at Detroit.

That's New Yorks future.
You must develop the ability to be disliked in order to free yourself from the prison of other people's opinions.

I doiubt big finance is going anywhere.  They don't depend on corporate-welfare-supported inner city dwellers to do the work.

Suppose the ultra rich even made a deal with the gangs.  If they get enough perqs, the gangs can leave them alone.  They themselves could punish people who interrupt the gravy train.  Most middle class people couldn't run big finance.  The gangs would probably know not to interfere with them.

The rich can shrug off a few years of taxes as the city clears up of overcrowding, then they can encourage some of the poor to move on or perhaps secure federal funding to support them.

The rich would then be rewarded with a less-crowded big city.

Big finance can do big finance anywhere, especially where they won't be taxed.
