The LA fire chief just accused the city of failing by leaving a critical reservoir empty, and it appears Mayor Bass was planning on $48 million in additional fire department budget cuts.

I need to make two positive statements out of this whole tragedy.
1. There seems to be very limited casualties, for such a destructive event. This is quite amazing actually. 2. If you’re in construction, and biz is slow where you are — move to Southern California. There will be TONS of construction opportunities. And they pay top dollar there.

An old timer in Pacific Palisades had a pump that fed mobile sprinkers and a hose with water from his pool. His family and him managed to save their house.

The Mayor raised the police budget by 7%, as she says, it was a 'reset'. That's where the money went - hard decisions to be made. Read what the Mayor says about not being properly funded nor having the proper resources for fire events of this magnitude. Quote:The problems facing the fire department "isn't a new problem," Crowley told the local outlet. https://www.aol.com/month-fires-l-fire-c...21162.html Where is the money coming from for the resources needed to combat more severe and more frequent future fires like these? Because even with that third reservoir, it would have been drained very quickly, like the other two reservoirs. Then what happens if resources are in place for this magnitude of disaster, then the next fire event is twice as severe?

This short video encompasses the LA leaders response to these events (as it’s not isolated). I will not give my thoughts without proactive input on your part.
