The conspiracy i see here is one of covering our own hubris by retroactively protecting the Saudi government after giving them too much benefit of doubt and trust to begin with.

The conspiracy I see is a Zionist false flag to bring in the American big brother to the Middle East and soften up Israel's neighbors. Just Iran left on the list made at the time.

Another winner of this event is the homeland security increased surveillance, capabilities and resources.

I accepted the official narrative at the time. First time I heard the WTC building was a controlled demolition I thought they where nuts. When hearing just how much of a hard time the widows of the 9/11 victims where getting in finding answers, something was wrong and started looking. WTC7 building is the easiest to recognize. These kind of things take months to plan and organize. The media had a script to follow that day.

I am in agreement with a lot of the (frequently proven right after the fact, conspiracy theorist) crowd that say 9/11 was a 'let it happen on purpose' event.
You have multiple groups who benefit from such a situation of the WTC collapsing ostensible due to 'terrorists:'
USA and global Western Military Industrial Complex (not just weapons, also oil, and pharmaceutical) 
- includes Intelligence community
Banking system (removal of records and shifting of bullion, shifting of records)
Propaganda/entertainment industry (brown man bad, western civ good. fight for the right!)
Technological and social control corporations (surveillance, biometrics )

Our whole culture changed for the worse after 9/11 and never went back to normal.

This has absolutely nothing to do with the 9/11 terror attacks. They are two separate incidents and the only thing even remotely "connecting" them would be that they both involved planes crashing into building(s) in NYC.

possibly we were involved in certain aspects, even if they didn't see the complete picture

I wonder if the creation and establishment of the political contract clearing house, the DHS, was the entire 'end game' plan for some of those who decided... to make it look like (after the attack) that this "department" was the 'protection' we all needed to prevent this from happening again.

Protection against enemies.... "among us."  They used shock and awe against their own population... but hey.. it's a win... they're sooo much richer now.

Certain board members posts to the initially verbose and huffing contrary , it is obvious that CIA infiltrated not just news offices but entertainment or as i like, propatainment offices a long time ago.  Do we all just willfully forget projects like Mockingbird and suddenly trust the gov when it says 'oh that was shut down' ?
