Burning the USA Flag

Pretty powerful.

As I said in another thread earlier, anyone convicted of burning Old Glory in this country, should be deported and never allowed to return.
I don't care if they are a legal citizen, deport they're ass.

So let me get this straight.. you want people convicted of a legal expression of their first amendment freedoms to be deported as a legal citizen?  According to Texas v Johnson burning the flag is protected free speech under the 1st amendment of the constitution.

Should we start arresting people who are exercizing their second amendment freedoms as well?

It’s funny how the Smurfs forget about the carbon when they’re burning the US flag.??
I don't give answers , I give questions. But sometimes,  those questions  are the answer. There's madness to my methods. Tumble

Flags are symbolic. Nothing more than coloured cloth, soon to become rags. Their true value is negligible.

And the US flag graphic is now printed on a lot of things:

American Flag Toilet Paper Bathroom Tissue Roll

I wonder about the legal implications of criminalising disposal of such a commonly used graphic?

Most cloth flags in use eventually fray and fade, requiring constant replacement. What do you do with the old ones without getting prosecuted? Are you going to prosecute God for destroying flags too?

Trump is virtue signalling like crazy. Make America Gullible Again.

I agree

This is Trump virtue signaling

Freedom is an innate state of being. When fully embodied, doesn't require symbols

Symbols and symbolic gestures are broadcasts of your personally held beliefs. But if those beliefs or values aren't embodied at the core level, it's surface level bullshit --- virtue signaling

I posted a picture of Trump signing his autograph on the American flag

No, it's not burning but it's still defacement. A desecration and disrespectful to the honor of a national symbol

Like graffiti

He just doesn't get it

The kicker was when we went down to the school to sort out the mess.

The person dealing with the "issue" turned out to be both the R.E. and Science teacher.

Talk about a conflict of interest.

I don't think she was too chuffed when I pointed that out.

He didn't even draw Mohamed, just drew a dot and said, "Well, that could be Mohamed," during a discussion in R.E.

Still landed him in bother.

Good lad as well, gold achiever, picks up awards for most subjects, and is a star pupil (completely the opposite of me at school).

It was all sorted out in the end once we threatened to put it all over social media and contact our local councillor.

But at the start, the crazy, mixed-up teacher wanted him suspended for a week.

And the real reason the headteacher didn't go through with it, I'm inclined to believe, is because he didn't want that sort of attention brought down on the school.

All the lad was doing was pointing out the madness and hypocrisy of it all. Saint2

You have a smart kid.

At least you are allowed to wear your flag, in the UK it's now illegal.
We don't want to upset the muslims now, do we?
There was but one exception, a muslim family who supported the union jack, saying "we are English also, and proud of this flag"
Good for them, but they are certainly the minority. I was very surprised to see that on national TV.
The Union jack is no longer recognised, as England is no longer a union. The Scots, Welsh & Irish have all chosen independence, and i can't really blame them given the constant meddling from Westminster.
You have to understand that London is not England, it is an empire unto itself, it has nothing to do with the rest of the country, except it controls all of it.
As the French would say; Vive la revolution!
P.S. i always liked the Southern flag (i was a big fan of Dukes of Hazzard lol) but today i guess that would brand me as a racist.

I always wondered, if you choke a Smurf, what colour does he turn?

I've researched this! No need to get in to why.

The consensus seems to be:
Quote:A hypoxic smurf turns grey or pink.

To get red blood in humans we put oxygen in the iron-based hemoglobin in our blood. We have pink to red skin, depending on how hard we are breathing (when the blood is oxygenated), and blue (the color of iron) when oxygen is taken away.

To produce the skin colors seen in smurfs their hemoglobin almost has to be cobalt based, as it turns a dark blue when it oxidizes. When you remove the oxygen it can turn silver or pink, depending on the variation.

Let me phrase this properly, for legal reasons: there is no experimental evidence contradicting this conclusion.
