Or when they both strengthened the patriot act and used it against conservatives.
Or when Obama droned a US citizen.
The trend continues. No one is going to decide to hold the high ground. It will just continue to be a tit for tat while we all relinquish power and trust to the federal government.
The right used to defend the constitution, but many of them still support all of these actions. So now, neither of the two parties even claim to defend the constitution.
No.
It's the US Constitution, not the Global Constitution.
You want to come to OUR house, then you play by the rules.
It's that simple.
You must develop the ability to be disliked in order to free yourself from the prison of other people's opinions.

Eh, you and I both know this isn’t the biggest transgression against the constitution recently. Just an example.

This one is the lowest on my list of priorities when it comes to constitutional issues recently.
But alas, you even have to defend those you disagree with if you want to protect your own rights.
Again, it’s just unfortunate it’s a document that only gets appreciated by partisans when it’s convenient.

I will defend to the death your right to disagree with me.
I do draw the line on defending you if you want to kill all jews.

What about: - Taxes and tariffs being under the purview of congress
- Flag burning considered freedom of speech/expression by SCOTUS
- Birthright citizenship (I agree this needs to be addressed, but that's congress's job)
- Freezing funds allocated by congress, who has the power of the purse
Again, these are very clearly laid out in the constitution. But the right completely ignores the fact executive branch has disregarded the checks and balances, or even challenged direct amendments.
I'll never burn a flag. I can afford to buy things I want even if they're more expensive. I was born here by two parents with citizenship. Congress over spends. These things don't make my life unbearable, but after a while, if presidents can just disregard parts of the constitution, it will eventually effect me.
I get it, a lot of people want payback for the other guys doing it. But there are a lot of people caught in the crossfire. I've never voted for a democrat for president. I've arguably voted further right (economically) than republicans because I often choose libertarian.
And at the end of the day, it's not like we're getting much out of it. Clearing out the illegal immigrants is about the only big ticket item promised being delivered. Hell, he had a record one term debt, and we're not even reducing it this time around.

Biden and the Marxists who controlled him, created problems.
Fixing them isn't free.
Too many issues to counter in your post.
Start a thread on them.

That’s how all of this continues. Each side justifies their actions by saying the last guy was so bad that have to break the rules to reverse what the last guy did. It becomes a form of retribution.
But the constitution isn’t supposed to be broken in the first place. It’s supposed to be the supreme law to protect our fundamental rights. When the federal government starts treating it like gentle suggestions, eventually lower level governments take notice and start acting the same.
Recently a man in Lexington TN was jailed for a month for not taking down a meme he posted on Facebook. They posted a 2m dollar bail, and in that month, he lost his job. We used to rip on England for that sort of behavior and warn that’s where we were going if we elected a democrat. And I’ll level with you DB, we have seen similar behavior from democrats, another reason I’ve never voted for one for president, or rarely for any other federal or state positions. But we don’t have a democrat president, house, or senate and here we are. And the party who has always bragged about championing the constitution is oddly silent while it’s been time and time again directly violated.

It’s not just speech either. That could be temporary and maybe we learn our lesson. We’ll likely know in November the Supreme Court decision on blanket tariffs. I don’t think people understand the damage that can be caused if they rule the blanket tariffs unconstitutional. We’re still increasing our nations debt each day. But if the tariffs go away after the passing of the big beautiful bill, the debt will be a speed run. The only reason many republicans even passed it is because they thought the tariffs would counter some of the cuts to revenue without cutting spending.

It will never end. We (MAGA) could do nothing, appease the Marxist left with spending, and illegals and when they come back into power, soccer-moms will be called domestic terrorists, veterans will be called (again) domestic terrorists.
The evil left has to be beaten so badly that they won't try this shit again.

This isn't Biden or Obama's America anymore.
You can't come here, trash-talk America, hate on Jews and think that it'll be okay.
I couldn't go to the UK, say they all suck, call for the death of all muslims without some sort of law involvement.
