So I’ve had a basic PXN wheel, pedals for a few months now, I’ve improvised a rig to hook it up to and while it’s far from ideal I love it! I have the Xbox one console and Forza Motorsort 7.
But I’m thinking an upgrade is in order! It seems PS 5 and Gran Turismo is the way to go,but not sure what wheel and rig is best for value and also quality and realism. So any recommendations?
Thanks in advance

Thanks in advance I play Forza Horizon 5 and Forza Motorsport 7 on PC now and again.
Beautiful on a 4K OLED.
Just using the PS5 controllers for now.
I wouldn’t mind getting a steering wheel, but they all seem so expensive for PC these days.

Logitech tend to make a good middle of the road steering wheel, but it all depends on your budget. You can get into silly money for some set ups.

Didn’t want to do the PC route as I have a decent laptop but it’s optimised for music production and so only a basic graphics card. I can pick up a second hand console that won’t break the bank and GT7 seems to be best console game, it was that game back in the day that made me love racing games but fell off for some reason until I got into racing on gta5.
although the setup I have is cheap as it gets, the difference between a wheel/pedal combo is night and day compared to playing with a standard controller. I highly recommend even a budget one.

Again depending on your budget, you could go PC with a Steering wheel and VR headset for full immersion. I know Sony do a PlayStation VR headset but I don't know about Gran Turismo being VR compatible??

Cheers for that I was thinking Logitech might be the way to go, they do a good seat as well which folds up so I can get it out of the way. I’ll be sure to check the links, don’t fancy paying silly money I’ve decided to think of it as a hobbie, but I have others too, so not that invested in it. Must admit got totally addicted for a while though! Can’t get over how real it feels.

My mates into his VR and he’s just bought a 2k PC I’m trying to get him into racing and he’s more interested in the VR version. I think he mentioned it works with the PS5 and GT7 I find it realistic enough as it is, but could look at that as a future upgrade. Definitely another reason to get the PS5 console.

Got the Quest 2 and 3.
Me and the boy love VR.
Just need to be careful with big TVs.
Space is the main concern with the things.
An omnidirectional treadmill would be nice.

Awhile ago I got the Quest2 VR and tried the racing with CARS 3 and was amazed at the immersion, it's incredible. But a good steering wheel and large TV or monitor is almost as good to be honest and a few thousand $$ cheaper!!
